If my candidate stopped in the middle of a test, how can he or she continue?

With a proctor present, log into the NIMS Testing Center and click on Take Test.

Is NIMS implementing an online proctoring method?

As a result of the remote work conditions brought about by COVID-19, NIMS is offering limited online proctoring services. Please review the information on the NIMS COVID-19 Response Page for more information.

Is the Testing Center screen reader friendly?

Is there a practice test corresponding to the new Measurement, Materials, and Safety test?

Yes, registered candidates may access a free practice test on their Testing Center page. Candidates may take the practice test as many times as necessary.

Is there a time limit between when a candidate registers and when a candidate actually tests?

No. The candidate must purchase a subscription or test pass and have a proctor assigned before they can test, but there is no waiting period between steps.

Is there a time limit for the online theory tests?

Yes, each theory assessment has a 90-minute time limit.

Is there a waiting period before I can retake an online test?

Between the first and second attempt, no. The third attempt and each following attempt must be unlocked by NIMS staff, and only after a sixty day waiting period. The waiting period does not apply to test passes because only one retake is included.
