Are all theory tests taken online?

Yes. However, paper test are available under certain circumstances for an additional fee. Please contact support@nims-skills.org.

Can I get help from NIMS in setting up my apprenticeship program?

Yes. NIMS has existing frameworks and a knowledgeable team that are ready to develop manufacturing apprenticeships based on national standards.

Can I retake the online tests?

Yes. Retakes are included with a subscription purchase for one year. The second retake may be taken immediately, however the third and each following retake will have a 30-day waiting period between them. The waiting period does not apply to test passes because only one retake is included.

Yes, you can start with Level II.

Yes, NIMS credentials can be used to benchmark progress and award wage increases.

Yes. DOL regulations allow for programs to be time-based, competency-based, or a hybrid of the two program styles.

Yes, as long as they are participating in a state-recognized training program at a school, career center, etc.
