Qualifications: •Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction •Able to demonstrate solid mechanical aptitude •Able to operate/program/touchup the Laser processes •Able to assist Laser Engineer, Laser Tech Assistant, & Maintenance Technician in preventative maintenance activities as needed •Able to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines •Able to effectively communicate with management, team members, suppliers and customers •Able to maintain confidentiality, and use discretion and tact •Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimum direct supervision •Able to work flexible hours and overtime •Able to calculate figures and amounts, such as percentages and proportions
Job Description: •Attain safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping goals •Assist with development and maintenance of laser programs under direction of Laser Engineer •Assist Laser Engineer and maintenance in repairs and preventative maintenance •Maintain inventory levels of consumable items •Interpret laser drawings and other inspection documents and specifications •Ensure quality of all parts produced in assigned work area •Verify work inspected is identified with specified marking methods or with appropriate records •Verify work conforms to requirements of applicable code, standard, drawings or other documents •Learn all aspects of all parts produced in assigned work area, including critical quality factors, customer needs, and acceptable standards •Assist in training of team members •Strive to keep all laser processes running 100% of allowed time •Promote and assist in team building, build positive team member relations and demonstrate positive leadership skills; lead by example •Handle all hazardous chemical and waste material in a safe manner •Read and operate all measuring equipment •Assist with set ups •Attend training classes as required(some travel initially) •Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example •Promote and facilitate Open Door process, effective communication and Fair Treatment •Participate in Continual Improvement activities •Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies •Perform other duties as assigned by Area Leader , Laser Engineer or designate •Ability to operate forklift
