What is the Inspector credential?
The Inspector credential (released in August 2019) validates knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) and general measurement & inspection. Individuals who earn this credential will be able to inspect their students’ parts for performance validation in earning NIMS credentials.
Cost: $189 (includes one free retake within one year from the original purchase date)
How to buy: Available as a One Test Pass only and purchased in the Testing Center for a candidate account.
How to earn: Instructor must have the candidate role added to their existing NIMS account by NIMS staff to take the test and earn the credential. A proctor must be assigned and present as well, just like any other NIMS theory test. At this time there is no performance portion to complete.
Audience: Instructors or other evaluators who would like to streamline the inspection process for NIMS performance projects at their school.
