Job Description: Production through CNC machining is the most accurate way to manufacture a quality consistent product within a limited amount of time to remain competitive in machining. Represent Company in a professional and exemplary manner before our suppliers, employees and community at large. Key Result Accountabilities Set-up and operate basic jobs (i.e. up to 3 tools) on some of the CNC equipment within a cell using set-up sheets, blueprints and operation sheets per customer requirements. Set-up and operate basic jobs on manual machines when required. Basic adjustments of offsets to maintain dimensional integrity, with approval from intermediate or advanced operators. Uses basic shop math to assist in all aspects of the job. Verify the revision level for the current operation (Programs, operation sheets, blue prints) Verify PC count and all applicable documentation for completion of previous operations. To complete all applicable documentation for the current operation (i.e. Shop traveler sign off and first pc, inspection record sheet, and/or AQL and NCMR) Notify engineering of changes to travelers, routings, and runtimes. Inspect work with assistance from co-workers. Maintains machine maintenance and log. Complies with work rules including those pertaining to safety, health, quality system, and Company Quality Management System. Participates on various teams to achieve performance metrics. Environmental Working Conditions Employee must comply with all safety policies and safe work procedures established by the company. Job tasks may also involve: Using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and other equipment as established in company policies and safe work procedures. Working with cutting & machining fluids, solvents, lubricants and other hazardous chemicals using appropriate safety controls. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Frequent carrying, bending, standing, sitting, and repetitive motion. Employee will be expected to attend safety training, serve on the facility safety committee and participate in hazard analysis and resolution. Qualifications This position requires a high school diploma or GED. Attended trade school or 1 to 2 years manual machine experience. Basic shop math skills. Basic blueprint and operation sheet reading ability. Basic knowledge of typical inspection equipment and techniques. Able to understand basic machining programs. Maintain organization to ISO operation procedures. Complete all job specific required training. Perform duties to achieve overall business unit metrics. Comply to all safety regulations, wears appropriate safety equipment as required in each area of the facility. Job Location Wheeling, Illinois, United States
