Qualifications: •Must possess a high level of ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and sketches. Strong understanding of GD&T and other requirements typically given in a manufacturing environment. •High level of understanding and usage of G-code and M-codes and the ability to follow and interpret the logical flow of the CNC program file. •A demonstrated ability to work hands on with cutting tools, fixtures and other work holding devices. •Develop workholding and select cutting tools •Proficient at MasterCam and or similar CADCAM software. •Ability to work using Solid Models and/or create them using Solid Works or similar CAD.
Job Description: •Responsible for the efficient and timely conception of the Manufacturing Process, the design of fixtures, purchasing of tooling and creation of the Software (Part Program Files). •Work in concert with the Leads and Operators in their efforts of the setup of new and existing work to reach 1st piece validation. •Work to meet customer and internal business deadlines. •Must be hands on at the CNC machine centers to address problems and or implement new or existing processes. •Must maintain and demonstrate a professional attitude and demeanor at all times. •Willing to take on additional duties as needed. •Self -starter and follow all of the rules, policies and guidelines of the company. •Must be able to work overtime as needed and off-shift if the business requirements demand it. •Integrate work with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Scheduling Departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory. •Experience in operating Okuma and Mazak milling centers. •Experience in operating and set-up of Mill/Turning machining centers. •Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and 6S methodologies.
