Job Description: Successful candidate, with the support and partnership of the Director of Engineering will deliver internal infrastructure and engineering management services, targeted to the support of the development, test and deployment needs of the Avibank engineering team and our expanding customer base. Qualifications: • You are still a hands-on engineer in the areas of reliability, design engineering offering experience with Solid Works environment • You have managed agile teams and have strong opinions and philosophies around what makes a healthy team, and successful engineers. You can collaboratively communicate those philosophies and how they worked in practice • You wear many hats ranging from a lead on a technical project through support engineer who is leading a project. You may also lead the technical or business direction of a particular area • You are highly technical and continually ask thoughtful, probing questions. You know when the answers to those questions are not complete and what it will take to get them there • You help your team to see around corners to ensure well-engineered, robust solutions worthy of the customers that trust them • You have a data and metrics driven style that can support assumptions, charts and reports • You are collaborative, collaborative, collaborative … yet capable and willing to make tough decisions • You have a strong interest in big data and are passionate about building and leading very talented teams. Your past employees would love to work for you again Key Tasks and Responsibilities • Direct and manage reliability and stress test staff; • Generate (ATP) Acceptance Test Procedures, (QTP) Qualification Test Procedures, (QTR) Qualification Test Reports. Be able to understand and execute vibration and environmental test per RTCA DO-160, design test fixtures. • Be able to perform failure root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. • Manage multiple concurrent engineering projects while ensuring their success in meeting their respective objectives • Implement approved corporate policies and ensure that subordinate engineers and support staff perform their duties and responsibilities • Implement approved engineering budgets and monitor actual expenses to ensure they fall within budgets, analyzing out of budget expenses and ensuring they are offset in other areas of the project unless fully justified • Consult or negotiate with clients to finalize engineering project specifications • Present engineering plans and progress status updates • Perform administrative and oversight functions in approving proposals, expenditures , enforcing policies and hiring and firing of engineers. • Implement required compliance with best of breed engineering practices and methods as approved • Conduct regional field visits as a part of project management and production to ensure that any problems are immediately addressed.
