Job Description: Overview - Immediate openings CNC Machine Operators and Machinists for milling, turning and multi-axis operations. Qualified applicants are expected to have significant experience in either a prototype or production environment, preferably in an ISO 9001 certified facility. Pay Rate & Work Hours Available - Hourly Pay Rate starts at $18 per hour and goes up from there, depending on experience level. Industry standard 1st & 2nd shifts are available as our overtime days / hours, when needed. Primary Responsibilities Review engineering blueprints created in Solidworks and CAM programs created in Gibbs, Mastercam or Esprit. Must have strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills. Perform first article setup by loading the correct program and setting tool offset. Validate programs as required by producing a proof part for review. Perform own 1st article inspection and make adjustments as necessary. Perform in-process inspections of production parts to maintain and ensure dimensional accuracy. All work must be recorded on machine shop travelers. Set-up and operate CNC mills as required to produce prototypes, work holding and other specialized fixtures. Perform daily maintenance on machines and clean up of general work areas. Requirements High school graduate and training certificates in CNC lathe and mill operation. Strong working knowledge of shop math and trigonometry Minimum 5 years experience working as a hands on machinist with all common machine shop tools. Detail oriented with impeccable record-keeping ability. Prior employment in an ISO9001 or NADCAP certified is strongly desired. Have own tools. Experience with Swiss (Citizen) dual-spindle machines is highly valuable. Experience with Fanuc Macro B language and G & M code editing. Excellent materials and tooling knowledge with the ability to independently select cutters, speeds, and feeds. Formal training in GD&T. Experience with quality control methods such as first article inspection and lot sampling. Experience with C-axis lathe programming (live tooling on lathe) Experience with 4-axis milling centers. Experience with manual milling equipment. Experience with working with multiple materials Aluminum alloys Steel alloys Stainless steel alloys Cast Iron Titanium Composite materials Experience working in both short run/short lead time production and prototype environments. Ability to work overtime as required on short notice, including Saturdays and some Sundays. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to interact productively with individual engineers, department managers, machine operators and other production personnel. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Other duties as may be required by management, including any tasks required to implement and maintain the company’s TS16949 Quality Certification. Desired Machine Tool Experience: Experience with multiple Fanuc controllers Experience with Mori-Seiki MAPPS controllers Experience with Renishaw probing systems.\ Experience with both running and setting up of the following machine tools: Manual lathe Manual mills Surface grinders CNC 3-axis vertical machining centers Fanuc Controllers Fadal CNC88 CNC 4-axis horizontal lathe CNC 4-axis horizontal mills CNC 5-axis Mori-Seiki Milling centers Citizen screw machines (model L20 or similar)
