Qualifications: Minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree from a recognized, regionally accredited institution with major emphasis in the teaching discipline, OR certifying documentation of journeyman rating (or equivalent status) in machining plus at least five years' successful work experience in machining. Teaching experience is preferred, as well as an aptitude for using technology in instructional delivery and a willingness to deliver courses online. Demonstration of teaching effectiveness is part of the on-campus interview.
Job Description: West Virginia University at Parkersburg seeks applications and/or nominations for a nine-month, renewable term appointment for an Instructional Specialist in Machining with the Science and Technology Division effective January, 2013. The assignment may include a teaching load of up to 21 credit hours per semester. Teaching assignments may include evenings, weekends, on-line, and off-campus locations.
