Accreditation Fee Change
Beginning January 1, 2018:
NIMS will implement an annual fee for all actively accredited programs. This fee will allow for essential program maintenance and quality improvements throughout the year.
The annual fee totals $250 and will be due on the anniversary of the program’s accreditation. NIMS will invoice the program four times during the five-year accreditation term, as shown below:
Example: Accreditation awarded March 31, 2018
- Annual fee invoice #1: March 31, 2019
- Annual fee invoice #2: March 31, 2020
- Annual fee invoice #3: March 31, 2021
- Annual fee invoice #4: March 31, 2022
Programs Accredited Before January 1, 2018
Annual fees will not apply to your program for the duration of your current five-year accreditation term. After a current five-year accreditation term expires, programs that opt to renew accreditation will be assessed the annual fee during all future terms.
Annual fees apply only to programs that are actively accredited by NIMS. Programs that are still in the application, self-study, or on-site evaluation stages are excluded from annual fees.
